Spirit of God, my heart refine, Spirit of love, joy, peace
divine, oh, let the triune grace be mine.
When heavy burdens drag or press, sorrows engulf, or
cares distress, deep beneath all, may I possess.
When age or illness lays me low, when pain or
loneliness I know, give me yet more the inward glow.
Then, when thy scepter beckons me and Thee, dear King
at last I see, in full perfection Heaven will be, Love, Joy
and Peace!
